I received my Master of Arts in Counseling, with a focus in Clinical Mental Health, from Spring Arbor University. I use a holistic and collaborative approach to counseling individuals. The mind, body, and spirit are all critical aspects in an individual's life. My desire is to work with children, teenagers, young adults, and older adults who are experiencing grief and loss, depression, anxiety, family conflict, life problems, stress, adjustment disorder, Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, Oppositional defiant disorder, and trauma. My goal is to help clients enhance their ability to cope with everyday life through techniques specific and tailored to their needs. My own personal experiences have taught me how to overcome battles, which is why I am so passionate about helping others and the mental health field. Mental health can affect every aspect of daily living and I am ready to help clients find strategies to positively impact their lives.

My goal as a mental health clinician is to help the individual to help themselves and to offer guidance to positive life fulfillment. I do believe that no one purposely desires to be unhappy and allow problems/situations to adversely affect their self-esteem/worth. My therapeutic approach will address whatever solution is necessary to allow the client to address and deal with effectively whatever presenting issue that is causing a less than purpose filled existence. The counseling process is catered to the needs of the individual and the ultimate goal is to help clients to reach their full potential. I utilize a holistic counseling style that will encourage a freedom of expression for the client with the end goal of bringing about a solution, promoting both healing and personal growth. The client has the wheel on this journey and my job is to listen and render guidance as needed. Change can be a good event if properly transitioned. Each client is unique and therapy is consummate with the individual need and elicits self-growth.
